Description
The students first worked with the artist in class, learning about the evolution of his practice around the world, his own way of associating random forms, colours and urban elements.
They each prepared their shapes in class under Nelio’s wise advice, and then thought together about how to assemble them on the surface of the wall of the Pasteur primary school and how to choose the colours according to the composition.
An exercise that delighted both the schoolchildren and the artist, for whom this kind of collective exercise allows him to question his practice once again.
Action
After THTF in 2014, the lucky students of the Mont-Miroir college in Maîche once again had the opportunity to work with a renowned urban artist! In 2016, it was the artist Nelio who came to offer them a short week to work alongside him.
Biography
Self-taught and explorer, Nelio has built his identity through his many travels. Adapting to the context and his desires, inspired by architecture, he does compositions by using geometric shapes, unstructured lines and textural effects.
