Description
After locating the place in December 2018, Fernando Abellanas returned to Besançon for the Bien Urbain Festival to propose several small “refuges”, in the corners of the city bridges… Nooks he loves especially for the possibilities they offer. Each refuge was designed to suit the needs, adapting to the rough edges and taking inspiration from the architectural specificities of the bisontins bridges. Here a ladder brings us to a hidden space under the Schwint bridge of Besançon.

Biography
Fernando Abellanas, a.k.a Lebrel is an autodidact craftman and designer who centers his work on experimentation, functionality and adventure. Constantly attracted by the figure of the wanderer, he uses city as a playground and creates custom-made constructions under Besançon bridges to give a special acces to unreacheable places. Cabin, bedroom or desk on wheels hanged under a bridge, Lebrel explores possibilities provided by urban exploration and tries new useful forms for everyday or extraordinary life.
