Description
Christina Kubisch’s Electrical Walks offer a new experience of the city, revealing the electromagnetic phenomena specific to each city.
Equipped with a map listing the most interesting places and the artist’s headphones, specially designed to hear electromagnetic fields, visitors take part in an auditory adventure that transforms the perception of everyday reality by materializing invisible waves.
From June 10 to July 13, departing from the Maison de l’Architecture de Franche-Comté and in partnership with the Espace Multimédia Gantner.

Biographie
Christina Kubisch belongs to the first generation of sound artists. Her practice ranges from performances and concerts to video and visual art, but she is best known for her sound installations and electroacoustic compositions. Since 2003, she has produced the “Electrical Walks” series around the world, sound walks in urban spaces where electromagnetic fields are amplified and audible through custom-made headphones.
