Description
On Sunday, May 21, 2017, a round table discussion on the work of the artist Ericailcane took place at the Musée du Temps. About fifteen people were present to discover the artist’s career and work.
Marion Gloret (heritage conservation officer at the Musée du Temps), Éric Surmont (founder and curator of the Winterlong Galerie – Niort), Pietro Rivasi (researcher and independent curator of the D408 Galeria – Modena IT), Marina Courtois (Artistic and Cultural Education / Contemporary Art Officer at the BFC Region) and David Demougeot (Artistic Director of the Bien Urbain festival), explained to the audience the different themes that inspired Ericailcane.
The Italian artist draws on paper, engraves or prints, paints walls in many countries, publishes books or makes sculptures, each time using the tradition of anthropomorphism in a very contemporary way.

Biography
Like a Jean de la Fontaine muralist, the Italian artist creates animals with human postures, illustrating social facts or local problems with a touch of satyric humor. His imaginary world, at a time poetic and terrifying, offers several levels of reading, whether in his delicate engravings and drawings or in his sculptures and vast murals.
