Biography
Mark Jenkins has been developing since 2003 a technique which consists in molding shapes (most often bodies) with adhesive tape. Joined by Sandra Fernandez two years later, they put their transparent or dressed sculptures on the street and leave them to their fate. Their “urban theater” involves, disturbs, intrigues or surprises passersby. Mark Jenkins and Sandra Fernandez’s interventions around the world, freezing time in moving cities, question the notions of loneliness and marginality in public space.
