Description
In Besançon and with the teenagers students of the college Diderot, the choice of Cyprien Desrez went to the manufacture of sandstone bricks. The college students each represented a region or a country on each brick, with the final aim of gathering them all in an English or Flemish layout on the entrance wall of their college.
The project was carried out in two stages, over two distinct periods :
– from November 18 to December 5, 2019, Cyprien proposed to the students to shape the facing bricks and to imagine and then draw on the bricks.
– from September 14 to 18, 2020, was the time of the construction site! Supported and helped by the CFA Vauban team, Cyprien and the SEGPA students of the Diderot college in Planoise were finally able to put their bricks on the entrance wall of the college. The building site was initially scheduled to take place in June 2020, but it was postponed due to the Covid.
On Monday, September 21, 2020 took place the inauguration (adapted to the sanitary restrictions of course) of the wall!
Artistic education project, supported by the french institutions of the DRAC Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the DAAC.

Biography
Cyprien Desrez loves to travel. Through his travels, but also through the internet or even through supermarkets, he takes pleasure in discovering new territories, studying the composition of the spaces he comes into contact with and understanding – at least in part – how these can to define oneself.
He likes to endorse the attitude of the hawker, of the one who moves (spatially or virtually), collects information (images, words, languages, gestures) related to cultural identities to translate them. Starting from the observation of how regions and identities can be formed, he likes to see how these can be mixed.
