Description
Armed with a red pen, the Wa took a walk in the city looking for misspelling. Seeing himself as a teacher the artist checked several random writing found during walking.
Action
Since the eighties, OX succeeds in diverting the codes and supports of advertising imagery (which inspires him too), with a contextual work which sharpens our gaze and continues to surprise us. His work around abstract forms embraces so much the close environment that it sometimes evokes narratives, comic situations or highlights small or large urban aberrations.
Biography
Heir to the impertinent aspect of graffiti, The Wa interrogates and destabilizes in small touches the codes imposed by the public or private power. He creates situations from road signs, garbage bags, beach towels or garden dwarfs, as responses to nonsense that became a little too common.
