Description
We invited Hyuro, flagship artist of the new muralism, to imagine with us the festival line up.
After her first visits in 2011 and 2012, Hyuro has created a new artwork, still visible at 26 rue de Brabant, in Planoise, Besançon (FR). Through this mural, Hyuro wanted to express the importance, even more for women, of not being afraid to stand up and express themselves, straight on their feet, in the public space.

Biography
Hyuro’s wall paintings touch with modesty on the intimate and universal. Tension and softness are felt in her paintings where attitude and postures say much more than the eyes or face, often hidden or deliberately placed “off-screen” as if to highlight the palpable and sensitive. Her world is both disturbing and seductive. Through her murals, Hyuro offers us the deep thoughts and questions that cross her mind, with respect and a palpable affection. Each of them not only raises her sincere personal feelings, but also challenges our own sensitivity, revealing buried or repressed sensations, developing our imagination. Anyone can recognize themselves in the characters she makes. Like whispers, her murals try to tell us something… it’s up to us to interpret the messages according to our experience and our sensitivity.
