Lebrel – “Refuge urbain de Marie”10 July 2019
Self-taugh craftsman-designer, Fernando Abellanas alias Lebrel places experimentation, functionality and adventure at the basis of his work. Attracted by the vagabond figure, he uses the city as a playground and enjoys building installations under the bridges, thus creating privileged access to inaccessible places. With a hut, a room or an office on wheels suspended under a bridge, Lebrel explores the possibilities of urban exploration and tests new useful forms for everyday or the extraordinary.
His third work for the 9th edition of the festival Bien Urbain, “Urban refuge of Marie”, can be admired under the Republic bridge of Besançon.
